Fierce Wireless does a good job letting us see how the top ten carriers are doing but it's important that we give business to companies that have been a part of America's telecommunications landscape and have built our telecommunications infrastructure. Give these companies some support: Alcatel-Lucent, Palm, Gateway computers, Sprint, Charter, Qwest, Motorola, cable tv ,smaller cellular carriers, satellite tv . Why should we abandon them just because Verizon and AT&T tells us too. They have a right to be in business and generate revenue like them. Don't run to them and limit choice. There is nothing good about consolidation. Less choice and more power and market share for them. We want our industry to be robust and competitive. I hear many people say this company should die or this company sucks. America is not a country of quitters!!!Some of these companies were here before you even heard of Verizon. That name was created a couple of years ago through acquisitions. HELP YOUR COMPANIES TODAY - STRUGGLING OR NOT....DON'T GIVE UP ON THEM!!!

Unfortunately, capitalism is very Darwinian and takes no prisoners. Either adapt with the changing environment or die. Arguably, the smaller carriers are making a "large" come back by capitalizing on the prepaid market and making a sizeable dent in traditional postpaid, contract business models. I don't believe in charity work to benefit a corporation when corporations show little regard for the people working for them
