CTIA study: Carrier mobile data revenues surpass $10B

CTIA president and CEO Steve Largent opened Day Two of his organization's annual CTIA Wireless I.T. and Entertainment event with an update on the growth of mobile data. According to Largent, mobile data now amounts to $10.5 billion in U.S. carrier revenues--during the first six months of 2007, consumers dispatched 2.6 billion MMS messages, 472 million of them in June alone. -Jason
