Deadline looms for EU roaming fee cuts

Carriers throughout the EU have until tomorrow to offer their subscribers a new pricing structure that includes cheaper roaming fees. In some cases roaming fees will drop by 70 percent. As part of the regulation, subscribers have two months to mull over the new prices and decide to either stick with their provider or move to another. The move follows a long investigation into roaming fees from the European Commission, which estimates that the carriers made about $11 billion in annual profits from roaming fees.
