Earthlink lost $111.3M on Helio last year

Because Earthlink reduced its investment in Helio, which it co-owns with SK Telecom, to zero during the third quarter of last year, the company will no longer record its share of the MVNO's net loss. For all of 2007, EarthLink's share of Helio's net loss amounted to $111.3 million.

In general, the fourth quarter included $32.1 million in losses related to muni WiFi, while the full year included $80.3 million in losses related to the discontinued operations related to the municipal WiFi assets. That compares to the $6.9 million and $20.0 million, respectively, during the fourth quarter and full year 2006.
