Ericsson has acquired mobile content billing software developer NetSpira Networks for an undisclosed sum. Ercisson will integrate NetSpira's technology to its carrier offerings. The combined solution will allow carriers to provide simple billing for mobile content services including Java downloads, Internet access, and MMS. Several leading carriers and service proviers, including Virgin Mobile USA, already use NetSpita's platform.
