Ericsson's Wibergh talks about growing network traffic, how carriers might use LTE Broadcast

Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) used the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona, Spain, last month to tout some of the company's bold predictions, including its forecast that 90 percent of network traffic eventually will be video. FierceBroadbandWireless Editor-in-Chief Sue Marek talked with Johan Wibergh, Ericsson's executive vice president and head of its networks business unit, about the company's traffic predictions and how wireless operators will be able to handle all that additional network congestion. Wibergh also touched on how carriers might use LTE Broadcast technology to deliver multiple video streams to phones at a sporting event or broadcast a single event to multiple users' devices.
