FCC keeps ban on in-flight mobile use

The FCC has made it official: The ban on in-flight mobile phone usage will remain in place. The commission began examining the issue in 2004. Yesterday the FCC noted that there was "insufficient technical information" as to whether such calls would jam up wireless networks' bandwidth, echoing recent statements made by FCC Chairman Kevin Martin.
