FCC's Clyburn to dish on the incentive auction, unlicensed spectrum in Twitter chat

Phil Goldstein

The actions of the FCC have rarely been so important to the future of the wireless industry than they have been over the past year or so. Between setting up the rules for next year's incentive auction of 600 MHz broadcast TV spectrum, to working through the aftermath of the AWS-3 spectrum auction, to net neutrality, the future of unlicensed wireless use and more, the FCC has been a key player in how the development of the wireless industry will unfold.

One of the central figures in that drama has been FCC Commissioner Mignon Clyburn, who has served at the agency since 2009 and was Acting Chairwoman for a period in 2013.

I will be talking to Clyburn in FierceWireless's first Twitter chat on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 1 p.m. ET. Follow our Twitter handle @FierceWireless and Clyburn's, which is @MClyburnFCC.

You can follow the action via the #ClyburnFCC hashtag. To make the conversation interactive, I also invite you to join in and ask questions. Follow along by searching for the hashtag on Twitter and submitting your questions. We'll try to get to as many as possible, as the Twitter chat will last for one hour.

We'll be talking about the auction, the future of unlicensed spectrum, tower safety and other items that are of importance both to Clyburn's agenda and the wider wireless industry.

We look forward to seeing you on the #ClyburnFCC Twitter chat.--Phil
