Handset launch round-up: RIZR, Beat

Today Motorola-Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile USA-Samsung each launched a handset: The VCast RIZR Z6tv and the Samsung Beat.

First up, the VCast RIZR Z6tv (photo): Verizon Wireless and Motorola launched this handset with VCast, Bluetooth, a 2 megapixel camera, expandable memory slot and a digital audio player. The phone will retail at $179 come October 5.

Samsung and T-Mobile USA have launched a music-centric device, the Beat (photo). The handset, also known as the SGH-t539, is a black flip phone that features external music controls, stereo speakers, stereo Bluetooth, a 1.3 megapixel camera, external memory slot and a USB cord for sideloading music.
