HTC posts record November profits

Tools

HTC posted record profits in the month of November, taking in $528.6 million as it capitalized on its expanded line of phones in the United States and other markets.

The monthly profit represented a 10.8 percent increase over October and a 22.1 percent increase year-on-year. The Taiwanese smartphone maker has capitalized on the recent popularity of phones such as the T-Mobile G1, the first phone running on Google's Android platform, and the stylish Touch Diamond and Touch Pro smartphones, which many of the Tier 1 carriers in the United States are selling.

HTC recently purchased the design company One & Co. to focus more on its image and the style of its phones.
