HTC Touch Pro 2 likely headed to T-Mobile first

T-Mobile USA is likely to be the first carrier to launch the HTC Touch Pro 2 in the United States, according to documents filed with the FCC. 
The filings show that the smartphone has been tested in the 1700 MHz AWS band, which is the 3G band T-Mobile uses. It is widely speculated that the phone, like its predecessor, the Touch Pro, also eventually will find its way to Sprint Nextel and Verizon Wireless.
Neither HTC nor T-Mobile have made any official announcements about the phone, although HTC confirmed in February that the phone would be available in North America.
The Touch Pro 2 has a 3.6-inch WVGA TouchFLO 3D display, a tilt-capable screen and a full keyboard. The phone also supports a new feature from HTC called Straight Talk, which allows users to set up a multi-party conference call by accessing contact information in the user's email inbox. The phone also sports dual microphones and speakers and doubles as a conference bridge when flipped over.

The more I look at friend's Blackberries, the more I like my HTC phone. It does everything the "crackberry" does and more!

I feel your pain in waiting. I was waiting since November when it was first announced, but gave in an moved from T-mobile to ATT to get i-phones for my 5 accounts. Sorry T-mobile.....

Any word on when the HTC (G2) will be release? Also I understand that Samsung will be releasing a form of a G2 phone as well, if so are there any specifications on this product?

Honestly, who needs that ugly HTC magic (aka Google phone 2) when you have such a sexy device coming out in a matter of months. To all you android lovers out there.... GET SOME FREAKIN TASTE YOU UNEDUCATED LOWLIFES...

I heard the touch pro2 will be running at $800.00 unlocked of course, for me, that's a bit much. I just purchased a high end 4GB RAM (450GB memory) notebook for $700 with loads of other features. I was looking forward to this phone, but the price is so damn high. I look forward to the Nokia N97 in a few months then. I can wait. there is a site that use some good info about the touch pro2, www.AllTouchPro2.com i want to hear what your view is on this smart phone.

i just went to the tmobile store to exchange a g1 with a loose case. salesperson had the touch pro in her hand. said she was given 1 wk to learn how to use it, but it was too much phone for her since she's not "tech savvy". (but i like my android g1)

I'm not leaving Sprint but I definitely want this phone. I have the Touch Pro but I want to upgrade to this sexy phone can any tell me when they will get it???
