Huawei confirms Android phone for T-Mobile

Huawei confirmed that it will release its Android phone for T-Mobile International later this year. The phone will be available in Europe. There was no word on if, or when, the handset would be available in the United States.

"I can confirm that Huawei will be releasing the third Google phone on T-Mobile this year," a Huawei spokesman told reporters. Some reports had indicated that the phone would be available in the third quarter, but the spokesman did not specify.

The device--which Huawei displayed but did not demonstrate at Mobile World Congress in February--has a touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera, 3.5mm headset  jack and WiFi connectivity.
