ICT: Qualcomm infringed on one Broadcom patent

Like most ongoing patent wars, the Qualcomm-Broadcom patent dispute over Qualcomm's 3G phone chips continues to eke ever closer to resolution: The International Trade Commission ruled that Qualcomm infringed upon one of three Broadcom patents. By February the two sides should have sought a remedy for the violation. One of the ICT's judges advised that the commission not bar the importation of Qualcomm semiconductor-powered foreign-made mobile phones. However, Broadcom still believes such a ban is possible.
