According to a filing with the SEC, the Owl Creek funds have increased their stake in Leap Wireless to 9.1 percent of the carrier. Last month Owl Creek reported owning 7.5 percent of the carrier's shares. The increase in owned shares marked a jump from 5.1 million shares to 6.2 million. The investor noted in the filing that it had no plans to gain control of the company, but it did express a desire to talk to Leap's management about maximizing longterm shareholder value.
