KDDI to launch mobile phones with wallets

Japanese carrier KDDI yesterday said it plans to launch two phones in September that will feature mobile wallet technology. The phones will be supplied by Sony Ericsson and Hitachi and will include the FeliCa smart card. A similar mobile wallet service is currently available from KDDI rival DoCoMo.
