Leap Wireless continues to build out its wireless spectrum assets with the $31.8 million all-cash acquisition of 13 licenses from Urban Comm-North Carolina. The licenses cover 4.9 million potential subscribers in the Carolinas and includes 10MHz of spectrum in each of the 13 markets. The deal more than doubles Leap's spectrum holdings in those states, giving it about 9 million potential customers in the Carolinas.
