Mallinson: LTE to bridge wired Internet gaps in Europe

Broadband wireline, fiber and WLAN Internet access already exist and can be used to offload mobile network demands in dense urban areas. However, in rural areas wireless technologies will more easily provide the necessary network capacity. The analyst argues that LTE's competitive advantage will be its ability to span a converging market for fixed and mobile broadband. Commentary
