I first was introduced to metro pcs when i lived in atlanta, but have moved to philadelphia. Here if i flash my phone i would be roaming all the time, cause the towers here use the new advanced wireless service(aws-1). My phone that i had in atlanta does'nt work here... I've been told i would have to buy one of thier phones that uses the 1700 fequency, but i don't want to pay for another expensive metro phone so soon... Plus the availiable models are cheesy. I have a palm treo 650 that i would like to use if i can find out how to get it programed to use aws or can get a chip installed to enable it to do so... Any help with this would be helpfull... can't seem to find any info the is of any use online so far!!!

Well metro pcs now have service in philadelphia so all you would have to do is go to the metro pcs service center and they can flash your sprint phone and you would be able to use it.

That is a negative. Seeing as the iPhone uses a sim card and is on a GSM Network the phone is not compatible with Metro PCS's non-sim card CDMA Network.

Any smart phone will not work on the metro service. Metro will not flash blackberry's trio's or windows mobile phones.

I have a Verizon LG Voyager, my phone is now flash to Metropcs. However, I don't understand if they can flash the phone, why can we only talk and text message. We want the internet that is that is part of our service PLAN with metro. That why the comsumers are taking their Verizon and Sprint phones in the have them flash and then find out you can't get the internet. If we going to pay $45.00 for the flash we should be able to receive a FULL flash. Can you answer that?

if you go the way of Metro Flash then yes, but using other methods you can flash a phone and still be able to use the internet if internet able

no IPHONES NO WINDOWS MOBILE cell phones with METRO PCS plans, no flashing ur phone does allow internet with a simple tweak on ur phone....hmm also DONOT go to ANY KIOSK "Metro PCS stores" for examp i have a metro pcs/sprint/boost mobile shop by me there so LAME. and speek barly any english i give that store a poor 1 star rating. oh and the prices for a POS metro phone u GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!!!!!. other than that metro is AWESOME 54$ a month for unlimited everything u cant beat that no where........

some phones can be unlocked for web and pic msg but not many because sprint and verizon emmbedded their software/firmware on some lg samsung and other phone models. if you are lucky you might find someone that can flash just about any CDMA phone. word of caution make sure you find someone that knows what they are doing because if software/firmware is not loaded right your phone wont work on anyones network

Now for the "Why don't I get web and Picture Msg if I am paying for it!" it is beacause you are paing for the service of metroFLASH the following month you should be paying $40/mo ($49.86 Florida Rate after taxes). no they can not flash the blackberry or any smart phone...also any phone that uses the sim card..other than that they can flash, i just flashed my nv2 from verizon

Flashing the phone is a good deal it is now 40.00 + tax no longer 30.00 but still cheaper than buying a new phone. I strongly suggest that you have your phone flashed only at authorized dealers and metro corp stores.

i recently bought a verizon lg voyager and wanted to know where i could have this flashed in philadelphia
when i looked on the metro pcs site they said it was a supported phone that could be flashed or whatever but when i tried to find a store that could do it nothing came up

because there software does not change the internet IP connections. The people who made it only programmed it to change which company it works with. But if you look on line theres plenty of sites that tell you how to unlock your internet

yeah i have a question for any one who can ansewer it. i have this sprint samsung m610 phone and i took it to a metro pcs place to flash it. but the darn thing wouldnt flash. i later found out that my phone's handset is not compatiable by metroflash. my question is will my phone's headset be compatiable in the near future; does metro pcs add headsets to metroflash making them compatiable? if someone can answer my question id appreciate it. thanx for reading.
