Mobile World Congress: Nokia unveils 4 phones
Nokia unveiled four handsets at Mobile World Congress, including the successor to its flagship N95--the N96. The new version has a larger screen, more memory and will cost about $800. Nokia also released the successor to the N73, the N78. The company debuted the 6210 Navigator, which offers advanced GPS features like pedestrian navigation, and the 6220 Classic, which features a five-megapixel camera.
Despite the rise in popularity of touchscreens on mobile phones, Nokia has yet to launch one. When an analyst asked Nokia's CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo why the handset maker is waiting to launch a touch-enabled phone, he replied: "We have said that we will bring out touch products. It's important that you don't bring out gimmicky touch."

Compliments to Nkoia on N 96 for 800 US$. The past market trend shows the price will slash down substantial during next six months. I wonder what is the ultimate use of high pricing when volumes matter and prices are sure to come down. Would it not fetch more volumes, if prices are kept reasonable in the begining itself.Reent Apple I phone is a example. We do expect more such hype for 3G, 4G, EDGE , WIMAX, WIFI, Broadband phones. Good luck. NK Goyal India
Yes I agree, Nokia prices should come down. Poor people also long for quality made products not plastic cheap versions of the full version phones. Poor people also wish to have a fully loaded metal not plastic cheap phone. How about lowering your prices so "everone" can afford such high quality phones as yours Nokia? Even for those on the lower caste system, the untouchables?
