More details emerge on the Google's gPhone
Google phone details Google's smart phone is a very badly-kept secret in general, but details have been hard to come by. Slowly, though, bits and pieces of specific information are starting to seep through the wall of non-disclosure agreements.
The first tantalizing bit is the name: gPhone seems the leading candidate for the upcoming device. The platform will likely include an operating system, mobile versions of Google software, and built-in developer tools. In total, it looks like a product that will change the ways developers work with Google as much as it changes the communications for customers.

Talk about badly kept secrets - a recent internal Google video leaked detailing plans to integrate some of their offerings into a 'Facebook' like experience. They would accomplish this by combining Picasa, GTalk, Calendar and Reader. They will need to beef up their address book functionality and make considerable upgrades to Google Reader. Every interaction will be managed by a complex web of dynamic feeds based on preference and collections. Google wants to create some standards so users can notify aggregators of their update feed across syndicated content and other Web 2.0 venues. It's all about who can get the applications out faster and grow membership and use of those apps the fastest. This is one way I see them helping developers create more advanced mobile applications for social networking.
