More M&A chatter around Sprint and Alltel

The blogosphere is buzzing once again with rumors of a Sprint Nextel or Alltel acquisition by Verizon Wireless. If Verizon Wireless succeeds in acquiring either of these carriers, it would once again supersede AT&T as the largest wireless carrier in the U.S. AOL's BloggingBuyouts blog even suggests that Sprint CEO Gary Forsee may see 2007 mark the end of his career at the wireless carrier.
