Motorola's venture capital arm, Motorola Ventures, announced an investment in the user-interface company Sensitive Object. The amount of the investment was not disclosed. Sensitive Object's software uses acoustics to analyze sound waves emanating from the point of a touch, effectively transforming any product into a touch-based device. Motorola has committed itself to developing a slew of new smartphones next year, many of them based on Google's Android platform, which relies heavily on touchscreen user interfaces. Article
