Motorola settles discrimination suit

Tools

Motorola has finally settled the sexual discrimination suit a former chief procurement officer brought against the company in July 2005. Theresa Metty, who was SVP and chief procurement officer of Motorola until April 2005, alleged that the company had unfairly promoted male employees, reduced her work responsibilities and discharged her under unfavorable terms because of her sex and age. The parties settled out of court and did not disclose the settlements terms.
