Nokia has renewed its distributor deal with China's Postel for $2 billion worth of phones in 2008. While the figure is still impressive, Redeye analyst Greger Johansson, points out that the contract is similar to one the companies forged in 2007. Last year's deal, however, was for $2.5 billion worth of phones. The analyst noted that the decreased value of the deal could be because of increasing marketshare of domestic handset makers in China or that some of the 2007 handsets have yet to move.
