Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, Sony Ericsson lead

According to a new report from iSuppli, Nokia continued to dominate the handset market in the third quarter with 39.2 percent of the market, up from 38.9 percent last quarter. Samsung retained its second place with 14.9 percent, while Motorola held down third place with 13.1 percent. Sony Ericsson retained 9.1 percent of the market for a fourth place finish. According to the report, handset makers shipped 285 million phones in the third quarter, which is up 12 percent from last year.
