Nokia unveils sustainable phone: Remade

During his keynote address this morning Nokia CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo unveiled a handset concept that was forged entirely from recycled materials. The concept phone is called "remade."

According to Kallasvuo the materials do not aversely affect design or functionality: Remade is "a device [that] uses nothing new--all reused materials without compromising a bit of style," Kallasvuo said. "Even the internal materials are based on environmentally friendly materials. At the end of the day, none of us needs more complexity or environmental tradeoffs to get access to great technology."
