NTP sues Palm for patent infringement
NTP is back in lawsuit mode. The company, which forced BlackBerry maker RIM to settle the patent lawsuit between the two earlier this year, said it is suing Palm. It alleges that Palm's products, services, systems and processes violate NTP's wireless email technology. The suit seeks to bar Palm from "continuing to infringe on NTP's patents" and requests monetary damages for the alleged past infringements. Interestingly, the patent infringement centers on seven patents, five of which were part of NTP's lawsuit against RIM.

"NTP is back in lawsuit mode."
As if they have any other mode... Might as well have said, "NTP is back," or just, "NTP."
Sounds like NIT is doing all they can get stay afloat to me. First the RIM lawsuit now this. If there was so many patent infingements why not get them all settle when they happen and not go after one comapny at a time.
And not only is it another lawsuit but they are saying 5 of the infringements are teh same as RIM Blackberry and Palm are two totally differnt set ups. to have that many os the same is weird.
I hope Palm wins, even though I am not a huge fan of them.
Lets hope if Motorola buys Palm it doesnt' buy its problems with it. Or maybe Motorola was next on NTP's hit list anyway?
