Mesh networking company PacketHop secured $10 million in third round financing. The round was led by GF Private Equity Group, with participation from previous investors, including US Venture Partners, Mayfield, and ComVentures. PacketHop makes mobile mesh networking software which enables instant wireless group communication for enterprises, government organizations, and consumer markets. PacketHop's system, called the PacketHop Communication System software, enables 802.11 WiFi-enabled devices to create extended WiFi networks known as autonomous mobile mesh networks, which can securely operate with or without wireless access points.
