Looks fragile.

Okay... first, why did the Koreans get theirs out a year ahead of the Finns? 2nd PRICE... please create something that competes in price with the iphone (under 300 euros) and I'll buy it, as I love Nokia technology, Ui, etc. 3rd... make it available in the US and allow it to be preloaded with all the carrier stuff (links, apps, numbers, etc) for whatever GSM carrier you choose... Nokia has GOT to get their shit together in the USA.

Too expensive and clunky looking.

Too thick and too late.

looks like an ugly, clunky brick...

Too ugly, bulky and not sexy at all.
What happened Nokia?

N97...what kind of name is that? Sounds klinky, as in Col Klink. Looking a bit stiff too. It should be wrapped in a blue suit, necktie, and black lace up shoes. It's about as cool as the PC guy in the Apple Mac commercial. I wonder if its audio speaks with a heavy monotone accent?

I love it. Finally a good new communicator.

Nokia makes great products. No doubt this will be another welcome addition to their already successful line.

Difference in any of these products will be the screen, software and browser interface. iPhone set the bar, this looks like it is still below the bar.

this thing has more ports than jenna jameson! what happened to clean, stylish lines. not only does it look fragile but clunky. time to level up nokia... consider inserting words in your product development teams like "touch screen," "desirable applications," and "thin."

do you have post office in yemen ,i have host and i want repaire it

My 3 year old HTC device is sexier and probably has more features too. The only thing that will make someone buy this is the brand, because there are no other upsides.

Also, by the time this hits the stores, top notch stuff of today like iPhone and HTC Touch Pro will be old news and those devices are already much more attractive and features rich then this Nokia brick.

To one of the Anonymous people here, the N97 does indeed have a touch screen

Nice looking phone, but anyone notice it's kinda the same design as the htc tytn???

iPhone rival...please, get the look & style right first. how can this clunky phone to be stylish.
i have so many friends who rushed to buy iPhone then chucked it after a couple of weeks, as it is just not a useable 'phone'...come on, please, Nokia is an establish phone make...just get the design correct, it will definitely sell. Nokia....speed up.

Did you say you *want* it pre-larded with carrier crap? I think I can find apps, links, numbers, etc just fine. This whole idea of networks ruling is like subscribing to Exxon and Exxon allowing you this certain selection of Volvos, Saturns and Fords. IN- Sane. Pick the hardware you want and pay for it. Pick the cell service you want and pay for that. Don't let them keep gaming you.

If only those multi-tasking NSeries phones could just step up to the advances of iPhone, like no cut and paste, single-tasking, having to go to iTunes to buy approved apps from the phone Nazi, and when will Nokia ever lock into approved carriers and sabotage firmware for dissenters! Who needs battery access anyway. It's not like it's really yours anyway.
