Piecing together the wireless industry out of MWC
While announcements at last month's Mobile World Congress were viewed through the lens of discrete market segments, in the wake of the trade show it's important to try and piece together the disparate parts and understand what they mean as a whole, argues industry analyst Keith Mallinson of WiseHarbor. Video, incursion into the mobile industry by companies such as Google and Skype, LTE, mobile networks, bandwidth-hungry devices and applications were all part of the puzzle.
