Police raid Siemens offices over fraud allegations
After a few scattered rumors of an impending raid, police officers and prosecutors raided the offices of Siemens today in Munich, Germany. The raid follows allegations of fraud on the part of some Siemens' employees. "Certain Siemens employees have engaged in fraud," Siemens spokesperson Adreas Schwab said. "We are cooperating fully with the investigation." The nearly 200 officers, tax inspectors and prosecutors searched 30 offices and private homes in Munich and surrounding areas. No word yet on whether any Siemens executives were involved in the alleged fraud.
