We've been fielding a number of requests to make our publications easier to read, particularly on mobile devices. Today I'm pleased to announce the launch of our new mobile application. The service, called FierceWireless Mobile, is an on-device application that gives you access to real-time news feeds from FierceWireless and nine of our other wireless and telecom publications. You can also add your favorite RSS feeds--to the WSJ, CNN, or any other blog or news outlet. It's compatible with Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Symbian and Palm devices and will soon support the iPhone.

Get it today by directing your phone browser to http://fw.mwap.at. Then follow the download instructions. I've been playing with the beta version for several weeks now, and I love it. I think you will, too. So check it out! Special thanks to FreeRange Communications, the company powering FierceWireless Mobile and our other mobile editions.

I wish when following an RSS link into the browser to an article on your site, that your site would recognize mobile browsers and go to a mobile version that didn't require paging down SIXTEEN pages in order to get to the article content! Other sites (Engadget, Ars, etc) seem to have it figured out but you guys don't. Don't feel too bad though, Crackberry is even worse at close to THIRTY screen pages before the content and your neck and neck with Infoworld (~14 page downs).

Client does not run on my Nokia N80.

Its a reasonable application but if you want the same thing without any installation and working on every phone perfectly (including the iPhone where there is a special version), try this URL in your phone browser. http://mippin.com/fiercewireless

Incidently, if the people in Fierceless want to add their branding and get advertising revenue from this site, please contact me and I will tell you how to use our MippinMaker tool. Its all totally free.

my friend told me 'bout this yesterdaY
