Qualcomm, Broadcom drop Bluetooth suit

Tools

Qualcomm and Broadcom have called it quits on one of their many lawsuits: All claims of or relating to Bluetooth technology are now dismissed. The bitter pursuit for IP supremacy continues, however, with four other suits still on the docket for 2007. The terms of the agreement, which many have quipped is an agreement to disagree, were not disclosed. The Bluetooth trial would have begun on March 5. Analysts at UBS said any case dismissals are positive for Qualcomm, since they should ultimately have an easing effect on its legal expenses.
