Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM) said in July that it is in negotiations to divest its Flo TV mobile broadcast unit, admitting sales were below expectations. However, the company is trying to find new uses for its MediaFLO technology. The company revealed at its IQ 2010 conference in London that it is studying MediaFLO's usefulness in maintaining cached data on mobile devices.
