Report: 133M WiMAX subscribers by 2012

The WiMAX Forum today released its projections for global WiMAX subscribers. The forum estimates more than 133 million WiMAX subscribers by 2012. The forum commissioned an independent research study that will be published next month.

In addition, the study estimates that about 70 percent of the forecasted WiMAX subscribers will use mobile and portable WiMAX devices to access the Internet by 2012.
