Report: 59% of subs content with handset selection

Tools

According to a recent report by Compete, most wireless shoppers don't want more devices, services or applications since 59 percent of respondents to a survey said they were content with their carrier's selection. The survey also found that 75 percent of consumers rank the price of a device and 69 percent rank the customer service of a carrier as more important than whether a device can be moved to another carrier's network.

We represent an emerging suite of mobile technologies that enables the mobile user to do things with their exisiting device they never thought possible.

Lead by one of the founding fathers of massively multiplayer online gaming and his team of M.I.T. programmers, this company has been in stealth mode for 25 months while developing a suite of 9 patent-pending technologies.

We are now assisting them in approaching media companies and content owners to join the Beta phase.

In short, there are three main technologies.

#1 MMS Blast is their mobile multimedia push technology. Similar to an RSS feed, but for mobile devices, it allows a media company to instantly send MMS messages to large lists of cell phone users.

Users opt-in by submitting their cell phone number. The MMS Blasts they receive can feature a mix of multimedia content; short (15 to 30 second) video alerts, still images, audio and/or text.

These messages can include a link, allowing the user to access the corresponding full-length video using their Web-enabled cell phone. These videos can be any length… we use the film Blade Runner as a demo.

Users can also forward the MMS Blasts to their friends’ mobile devices allowing videos to go mobile viral.

Each MMS Blast can be ad-sponsored and therefore free to the user. The advertising could be in the form of a short pre-roll video, a still image, audio and/or text. The ads can include direct-response components such as instant-feedback surveys and coupons that may be redeemed at point-of-sale. Your sponsors are welcome to participate.

MMS Blast provides reports on any number of metrics, from the number of messages opened to click through rates and geographic location of the recipient.

#2 Mobilzr is their online video mobilization technology. It is essentially proprietary code that enables any web-enabled mobile phone to view videos online.

The technology converts existing broadband video content from a variety of common formats into the format that works best for each user’s mobile device.

#3 Uronimo allows registered users to customize and push MMS Blasts to their friends’ cell phones. Users can also upload their own video, images and audio files, enabling access on their web-enabled mobile device and sharing within the user’s social network.

These technologies work on 95% of existing, Web-enabled mobile devices, including the popular 2G phones like the Motorola RAZR. And upwards of 2 Billion devices globally.

The only requirement is that the user has a data plan. All of these applications are web-based and require no downloads to the phone.

BEST PART… these technologies enable the elimination of the Carrier’s “walled garden”… we can push content to any device on any network, without the carrier’s permission and without sharing revenue with the carriers!

And that has to deal with the subject how?
