Report: Cox tapped Huawei for CDMA build out

According to a report from Cable Digital News, Cox Communications' wireless subsidiary has inked a deal with Chinese infrastructure vendor Huawei to build out a CDMA-based network in the U.S. Research firm UBS Research estimated that the deal is worth less than $100 million a year, but is still a key win for Huawei, which beat out Alcatel-Lucent and Nortel for the build out. Cox Wireless won $304 million worth of 700 MHz spectrum during the auction earlier this month.
