RIM aims to block Twitter trademark

Research In Motion made a seemingly inexplicable move in recent weeks by filing for more time to oppose Twitter's trademark application for its brand name. According to various reports, RIM does not own any Twitter-related trademarks, but it's obvious that Twitter's application could threaten the BlackBerry messaging service's dominance in the mobile messaging market.
