Research in Motion confirmed that it acquired Dash Navigation, but the BlackBerry maker isn't providing any details on the acquisition or its plans for the firm. Dash's technology converts a personal navigation device into a traffic reporting tool and last year it sold a PND that tracked its users' road speed and location and created traffic reports for other Dash PND users. However, the device failed to get much traction with consumers and retailers and was pulled from the market after eight months. Article
