Ruckus Wireless: Updated router, more VC

Ruckus Wireless announced $16 million in strategic funding led by Motorola Ventures and other new backers including T-Online Venture Fund and Firelake Capital Management. The new investment brings Ruckus' total to $30 million since its advent in 2004. The company says it will use the money to scale production, operations, sales and marketing worldwide. Ruckus Wireless' smart WiFi router is currently deployed by 75 broadband operators worldwide, including many IPTV service providers. Ruckus also announced its MediaFlex NG in-home wireless distribution platform for IPTV providers.
