Rumor Mill: Sun and Samsung's Java phone

According to rumors floating around the blogosphere, Sun and Samsung are co-developing a "Java Phone" that will be cheaper and have more features than the iPhone. A Samsung spokesperson has confirmed that the two companies met to discuss such a phone. Could a Java-enabled UI really match or surpass Apple's? More on this as/if it unfolds.
