Sharp to sell cell phones in China

Japanese cell phone manufacturer Sharp announced that it will start selling devices in China, beginning with the launch of FH9010C handset later this month. The phone is targeted at affluent Chinese cell phone users.

Sharp's move into China is part of the company's strategy to break into overseas wireless markets as its domestic business suffers from increased competition. In April, Sharp's wireless business dropped 23.3 percent.
