Sony Ericsson employee steals prototype phones
Prototype versions of Sony Ericsson phones were found in the home of a Swedish employee of the company, and were believed to have been stolen, according to Swedish police.
The phones, which are worth around $90,000, were stolen sometime during the night between this past Monday and Tuesday, according to the police. The police received information pointing to the employee yesterday.
It is still unclear what the employee was planning to do with the phones. Sony Ericsson has been very quiet about the theft since it became public.
Sony Ericsson recently said that it planned on a challenging 2009 and would focus on more high-end, high-margin smartphones.
