AT&T's (NYSE:T) proposed $39 billion acquisition of T-Mobile USA would create the nation's largest wireless carrier in terms of subscribers. But what exactly would that carrier look like? American Roamer, an independent source of wireless carrier network coverage and spectrum information, provided detailed maps showing AT&T and T-Mobile's current network coverage and their respective spectrum holdings, as well as what the companies would look like combined. To be clear, AT&T has said--if the deal goes through--that it will dramatically reshape the newly combined company by removing overlapping cell sites and refarming T-Mobile's existing AWS network buildout. Further, the FCC likely will require that AT&T divest significant portions of T-Mobile's network and operations.
