SPOTLIGHT: Cisco settles lawsuit with Wi-Lan

Cisco and Wi-Lan have reportedly settled their patent issues regarding Wi-Lan's claims of owning important pieces of WiFi and WiMax. Cisco defended the sanctity of WiFi and WiMax trying to prevent Wi-Lan from setting up shop and milking the technologies' vendors. As part of the settlement, Cisco bought some, but not all, of the others' patents. Analysts expect more lawsuits to come on the issue. Blog
