Sprint faces class action lawsuit over billing
Sprint Nextel faces a class action lawsuit that accuses the carrier of charging data card users certain taxes and fees that only apply to mobile phones. The Utility Consumers' Action Network (UCAN) is facilitating the suit, which it claims could end up costing Sprint millions. UCAN said fees for 911 services, SMS services and other FCC mandated fees for mobile phones should not be billed to data card users.
"They went ahead and charged these customers state regulatory taxes as well as federal related charges that they shouldn't have been charging," says UCAN attorney Art Neill.

I was consistantly overcharged by Sprint for the whole miserable 2 year contract. The Icing on the cake is that when I paid the final bill, they sent me another bill with a description showing a billing period after I cancelled my service. I am refusing to pay it.

These ------- @ Sprint over charge me every single month so far for the 6 months I have had Sprint , for a lifestyle feature that I have not and would not ever use. Every time I call in and they refund me and promise me that is wont happen again and every time it does !!! Cell phone companies are the biggest scam / criminals there are , T- Mobile was no better.
I've had same problem with Sprint - particularly for the las 6 months. Being charged for minutes/text message when the plan fee covers same. $50 to $60 every month for some "alerts" . "solow auction" ,"10-minute mind quiz", "perfect crush"etc. C/S credited back 3 months but got stuck with fraudulent charges beyond that period. Not going to go through this every month. What is going on with these companies?
I have been billed incorrectly the entire 2 miserable year of the contract. At first I was being charged for service like Navigation that I had not requested or used. Then I was constantly being billed for data charge usage to access the internet even though I had never accessed the internet from the phone. I tried to resolve the issue by having an internet “block” put on the phone. Even with the internet block in place they continue to bill for data usage. I cringe every month when Sprint bill arrived, and would recommend that no one should ever use their service.
