Sprint, GE Healthcare form wireless JV

Sprint is forming a joint venture with GE Healthcare to bring enhanced wireless services to hospitals in North America. The JV will offer an in-building cellular communications network from GE Healthcare and Sprint's Custom Network Solution (CNS) team that makes use of GE's CARESCAPE Enterprise Access wireless platform, which is powered by MobileAccess as well as Sprint handsets. Hospitals can use the platform for voice and data communications over secure cellular, WiFi and telemetry infrastructure that requires only one installation.
