The numbers are inflated. Sprint deceptively sold me an Instinct saying it would work on my plan. It wouldn't activate when I got it and the company's answer was to buy a plan that cost twice as much. I returned the Insrinct. It wasn't worth the cost. This rollout is still born.

There are special plans that work with the Instinct and only that device. It's pretty common knowledge that non-Instinct plans don't work with the Instinct... The folks in the retail stores went through training before the Instinct rolled, so they know about the special plans. I find the level of truth in your anecdote to be highly suspect, or you happened to leave some major details out...
