Sprint taps Nokia for WiMAX in Texas

Sprint Nextel has already announced that Samsung, Motorola and Nokia will help roll out its WiMAX network across the U.S., but today the operator confirmed that Nokia will deploy WiMAX infrastructure in Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio and Austin. The network should be operational during the first half of 2008. The companies previously announced that Nokia would also be a major supplier of WiMAX-enabled phones "in significant volumes."
