Survey finds 39% of BlackBerry users want to switch
If the results of a Crowd Science survey are any indication, Research in Motion may have cause for concern. The survey, which queried 1,140 consumers, found that 39 percent of BlackBerry users would prefer an iPhone as their next purchase and 34 percent said they would prefer an Android phone. Meanwhile, 90 percent of Apple iPhone users and Google Android phone users said they plan to stick with those brands. Article, post

I know of 2 people who recently switched from Blackberry to iPhone.
From an in-depth analysis relative to user engagement, ease, design and the OS. The iPhone is just more fun. Its really easy to use and the OS is powerful. Now if the iPhone will provide a QWERTY! I switched from a Blackberry last month. I had to wait for my contract to expire. Absolutely love it. Security and infiltration into enterprise will only increase the adoption.
I too switched from a Blackberry to iPhone. Overall, a much better and more user friendly experience. This doesn't mean that iPhone is better on all fronts, it is not. But is Internet experience is amazing and I could never surf the web again on a BB after experiencing iPhone. Same goes for adjusting to a small blackberry screen after this iPhone. I complete adjusted to the touch screen keyboard and do not miss the physical keyboard at all (I had a Pearl and a Curve).
I phone is overated and at&t's network is weak in rural areas.
Unfortunately, no device matches BlackBerry in a corporate world. The people switching want toys to play with. I know a few people who have Storms and complain about the lack of games. I tell them constantly - it's NOT a toy.
I'll remain a BlackBerry fan at least until the Windows 7 Mobile devices come out. Then I'll take a second look.
I have tried to log onto my job's portal site, and only ONE smartphone's browser allowed the small logon window to pop up: iPhone.
Even the Droid couldn't open the portal.
I'm chucking my BBerry soon.
